I'm in love!

This hotels mix of color, pattern, symmetry, asymmetry, style and flair makes this decorator  weak!  I love the color palette and a very smart thing was done here...using one large scale piece as the focus and the inspiration!  Decorate!  The sky is the limit!

Just cause its broke....!!!

Don't feel that everything has to be perfect.  An old saying reads, " every fine home is a little bit tattered ".  Don't hesitate using damaged pieces in your decor.   This wonderful crystal bowl was given to my grandmother in the 1950's by a little lady who lived at Weymouth plantation...it's a treasured piece!  The hole in the side is a mystery, but still perfect!  Show it!

Don't overdo!!!

A theme can be fun, but too much is too much!  Suggestion?  If you want a beach theme, do a glass bowl filled with shells...a mountain theme...a few rustic twigs in a big basket...don't over theme!

Fresh is best!

A tip when throwing a party?  Fresh cuts!  I love to visit my local florist, choose a few big showy flowers and then take a walk around my yard with the clippers!  A little magnolia, pine, iron plant and my arrangement is on its way!  To stop the show, I use an oasis in my big silver punch bowl!

Sparkle it up!!!

Don't be afraid to add a little glitz to your interior!  It can be in polished metals, and yes...shiny brass is back, it can be mirror, it can be sparkle!  The reflection with be happy and uplifting!

My go to!

always keep pita bread on your grocery list!  You know all those little leftovers?  A piece of cheese, a little chicken, some pesto?  Put all that on the pita bread, a bit of olive  oil, and bake!  There you have it, a quick appetizer that uses what you have!
