About Us

Always fun and full of enthusiasm this mother and son duo make it a pleasure to shop at Bienvenue Home. Its been Geraldine's store since 1995 and Kevin joined her after many years of traveling and performing around the world.  Kevin returned to Georgetown because he loves its history and the community.  The Jayroes give back to their community by supporting Miss Ruby's Kids, St. Francis Animal Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, and The Kaminski House. Kevin often performs at The Kaminski House fundraisers, see above photo. They both encourage their patrons to learn about the area and its history by taking a tour on the Swamp Fox tram and by visiting the Kaminski House, Rice Museum, Georgetown County Museum and the SC Maritime Museum.  Visit HistoricGeorgetownSC.com for more things to do and see.

Bienvenue, pronounced (Ben-vah-new) is the name of my family's land that was a once a thriving rice plantationlocated on the Pee Dee river here in wonderful Georgetown. Bienvenue means "Welcome" in French and was the name chosen to rename Waterfield Plantation, purchased by my grandparents. Originally the land was a kings grant barony for the Duke of Beaufort and included Dirleton, which was Richfield and Springfield that still retains the original name!

The plantation was hundreds of acres spanning across the Waccamaw. You can see a wonderful home and period rice storage barn among other buildings to this day!
